Fundraising

In 1925, Alabama native Helen Keller addressed a Lions International convention, asking the Lions to become “Knights of the Blind”. More than 80 years later, the Lions are still fighting to end preventable blindness.

Through hard work and tireless dedication the Lions Clubs of Alabama are able to raise approximately 25% of the revenue that is needed for Alabama Lions Sight to operate administration and MEC. Through projects ranging from East-West Baseball games to pancake breakfasts, from selling Boston butts and hosting beauty pageants, the Lions are able to fulfill their number one mission – preserving and restoring sight.

In addition, Alabama Lions Sight receives grants from others in the community, Foundations, Government Grants and Our Donors.

Alabama Lions Sight appreciates those who raise and contribute money to help us fulfill our mission of saving sight. Click here to make a sight-saving contribution today.
